“They told me I’d never live on my own. Stavros proved them wrong.”
When Kendall first connected with Stavros, she had just aged out of foster care. She uses a wheelchair, had no job, and was told she'd need to live in a nursing home.
But with a Stavros peer advocate by her side, Kendall found accessible housing, got her first job, and now lives in her own apartment. She’s even mentoring others through our Youth Transition Program.
Kendall is thriving—not because someone ‘saved’ her, but because she was given the tools and support to define independence on her own terms.
